How much do doctors earn!?

Im looking for salaries for doctors. What is the highest paid and what is their job title, and then what are some averages for other types of medical professionals. Thanks

  1. Depends where you live.  (As in, what country).  They're pretty well off anywhere, but the less taxes they get, the better off they'll be.  They make a BOMB in England, but have to give quite a lot up for taxes and different fees.  In America, it's slightly the same, (more you make, more you pay) but not quite as much.  If you're a doctor in the States, you'll probably be a little richer.  The typical American doctor MAKES about 120-150,000 dollars a year, and the typical UK doctors MAKES about 100-125,000 pounds a year.  Then in the US and the UK, some is lost to taxes.  Consultants usually make the most as opposed to family practitioners/GP's.


  2. I believe a Surgeon in the highest paid. Then if you specialize in a something (pediatric surgery for example) then you can make more. Just keep in mind that, while you would earn a lot, you will also owe quite a bit in student loans when you graduate.
