I am planning a bachelor party for a friend with a group of 10 guys and trying to decide b/t Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Vegas. The driving factor in our decision is expenses AFTER arriving at the destination. I'm guessing Vegas is the most expensive, but, does anyonoe know how much drinks typically cost in the popular bars/clubs in Cabo and/or Mazatlan? And also, has anyone done any of the all-inclusive packages to those places? Do they typically add on extra charges or is it really worth it? Are the meals that are included good or crappy food? Appreciate any good advice!

  1. Hola!  Not to deter you but Cabo is one of the most expensive resort towns in Mexico.  You will expect to pay what you pay at home for drinks.  Resorts and Hotels are priced higher than say PV or Mazatlan or even Cancun.

Also, no such thing as cheap drinks here anymore.  Some bars will try to entice you in with free tequila shots, after all tequila is still cheaper than water.  lol.

We have a fair amount of 5 star all-inclusives here.  The best are the Riu Palace and Riu Sante Fe.  Then there are the Melia Real, Dreams, Crowne Plaza etc.   There are also other resorts that offer an all-inclusive option.  The Villa Estancia, Villa del Arco...the cheapest one is the Tesoro, and that is where everyone goes for spring break.  Its a 3 star so you get what you pay for, but its right close to the nightclubs.

All inclusives are, well, all-inclusives.  I personally think they are worthwhile, especially if you have not been to Mexico before.  The food can be mostly buffet, and you won't get too bored of it if you only stay a week.  All inclusives will have all the equipment and activities, as well as entertainment and events.  Perfect for the bachelor party you are planning.  The down side that I usually hear, is you are treated like cattle, not really personal...and some people really want to be treated like a rock star when in Mexico for some reason.  I doubt you would care?  Have a look at the website I have included to see if Cabo is worthwhile for you.
