  1. Nothing. Being an environmentalist is a mind-set, not an occupation. Ecologists get paid about the same as college/university faculty unless they go into consulting. Some consultants do quite well, some barely scrape by.


  2. Depends on what they're doing.

    An architect who designs LEED certified buildings is going to make more than the person who works at the Recycling plant sorting glass and plastic.

    Just like traditional jobs, environmental jobs vary in how much they pay.

  4. Honestly, not that much, but if one chooses to be an enviromentalist it's usually because they have a love for our environment and want to help preserve our environment.
