i was wondering how much flutes cost bcuz i want to rent one.

to buy 300 - 250 lower sounds like c**p

rent 75- 30 it's not worth it

used 100- 50 once again not worth it.

depending upon the brand and quality, you should spend at least $300. if you buy one for $100 the tone is gonna sound like c**p and not be clear.

most music stores will rent you one for $30 a month and after 2 months if you decide to buy it, they put your rental $ towards the price and you can pay monthly.

Well, you are asking about renting.... so that is how I will answer.  The cost of renting a flute will vary from store to store.... as the store manager will set the price for renting.  But for a general guess...  I would say for a used flute... from between $20.00 to $30.00.   To rent a brand new flute from $35.00 to $45.00.

They really get you coming and going...  but some people prefer to rent than buy and let the store take care of repairs or maintance.

Oops... I just noticed something about your question.   How much do flutes cost?    A brand new beginner flute from a respected maker / and one that a band director would approve.... costs in the neighborhood of $650.00.  But if you look around,  you can find the same flute... but used for about 1/2 of that cost.... maybe $400.00 or so.

Depending on where you live what brand you want and also if you want a professional one with the open holes buttons or  the regular flute with the close hole buttons. Where I  live you only have to pay 80 to rent for the entire school year. But you might spend around 150.
