  1. I have no idea of the price ranges myself...

But the following websites should give you the information you need....

    http://www.guitarland-bcn.com/

    http://infoplus.qdq.com/theguitarshop/es...

The second place has a service in english, tho' not on its website. It also has three shops, all in the center of Barcelona (on Las Ramblas).

  2. Corte Inglés sells RUBBISH guitars, if you want a Ramírez, Rodríguez or a Sanchis (or similar) you'll need from €500 upwards.  A nice Alhambra (computer-controlled machine made) would be less.

In Barcelona, leave La Plaza de Catalunya down Las Ramblas towards the Colón Monument at the harbour. Seventy yards or so down the Ramblas on your right is the lovely old fashioned musical instrument shop set back from the road - called "Llobet".  If you go in the morning when it's not too busy you'll find them really friendly and helpful.

Nearby is a shop that sells nothing but sheet music - you don't want that one but I forget if it's before Llobet or after.

Course you can get cheaper guitars, Admira and lesser names; that's just classicals - electrics and accoustics aren't worth the bother of checking-in as 'hold luggage', they're easier bought at home.
