  1. not that much usually like 2 G's tops

  2. Less than half of what they are worth.

Like the above answers have pointed out, you can not live on a coaching salary.  The coaches are all teachers and the extra money you make as a coach is nice.  The private schools will pay more, but again not enough to have that as your only income.

  3. first of all, with budget cuts everywhere you turn, you are lucky if your program has not been cut.      with that said, it really depends on your region.   for example, if you coach at a private high school in NYC, you can expect anywhere app 3500-4500 for serving as an assistant coach to the Varsity team and coach the JV team.      if you are only coaching the JV, probably 2000, if you are assistant coaching the JV, you will be lucky to get 1000.    obviously, if you are coaching a public school, you are likely to get halved the amount.    unless you are in an area where volleyball is a big sport, then you may see more money.   anyway, nobody i know get into coaching for the money, not in the high school JV or Varsity level.    you either love coaching or love the game.

  4. If it is a public school not very much at all.  It definitly cant pay the bills.  You would need another job in addition to it.  People dont do those jobs for of the money thats for sure.  If it is a private school I really have no clue.

  5. Coaches at public high schools don't make enough to pay the bills, that'd for sure. They're usually also teachers at that school. On the other hand coaches at private schools get payed a lot more, than public school coaches.
