Question:

How much do holiday reps abroad get paid now?

I WAS A HOLIDAY REP IN THE EARLY 90'S and earned £450 per month for one company with very good commission and £600 with not much commission for another. Am now thinking of doing it again (in Italy for a specialist tour operator - not a singe and binge role!) to get back abroad but now have 2 children (husband will come and work too) just wondered what the salary is like now? - they all come with accommodation but obviously that may not work out, with a whole family to house!

  1. Some companies 1st year rep pay is still £450 month! Generally, if the tour operators holidays are more expensive the pay is higher, but I don't know any on good pay!

Out of the reps locally (I live in Greece) I don't think anyone is on more than £700, unless they have moved up to resort manager.

Definitely worth an ask though, especially if you are looking at the more specialist & quality holiday market.
