  1. well don't handle it when it is shedding and don't handle it right after it eats (give the snake 24 - 48 hours after eating before handling).  other than that...every day.

  2. A couple reasons snake bites are; they feel threatened, or they think that you're food. So avoiding these types of situations are key to not being bit. Feed your snake in a separate area/tank than the tank it lives in. When attempting to pick up a snake, try not to approach from above and in front. Try to pick up a snake when your hand is level with it and from  the side or behind its head. By handling it 10 minutes a every day or every other day, the snake should be come used to you or "tame" within a month.

Note: Avoid handling within 24 hours of feeding as there's a risk of regurgitation.

  3. Depending on how aggressive it is to begin with. If it hisses and bites, just until you pick it up; not too long. But if it has nothing to do with humans; it might take a little effort. Don't be hesitant,or so will they. Also, don't be scared, corn snakes aren't big enough to seriously harm you.

Use gloves at first, and/or a small snake stick (depending on the size of the snake) it will make it easier. And just pick it up and hold it everyday for a while, nothing dramatic like 3 hrs, but long enough where it calms down. And be sure to feed it in a different enclosure. You don't want him thinking its dinner time every time you open the cage door. Another thing with the feeding, do it often. Depending on the size of the food, maybe once every two weeks. Just don't wait a month to feed the poor thing, then it will be hungry, and it will be more apt to bite. Good luck!
