How much do i need?

Question

im going away for just under a year to go travelling next year. And im trying to figure out how much money im going to need. Iv figured out everything out except money for food and spending money. Im going all over the world Austalia

china

thailand

africa

and america

so i was wondering if i figure the costs out monthly but im not sure how much i need do you think £120 monthly is enough? too much? and then £50-£100 spending money a month

you might actually need more than 120.  food can get expensive and since youre traveling, you will most likely be eating out more.  say you can eat on maybe £6 a day, then youll be needing at least 180/month. unless youll be able to get meals from wherever you are lodging in which case it will be cheaper. otherwise, thats just for food.

you will probably want more for spending money too especially since youre going to so many places, youll want to purchase a lot of local things.
