how much do i need to send someone to make sure they recieve $460 after fee's, via debt and via creditcard? my paypal account is a premiere not personal.

It doesn’t matter what kind of account you have the fees that would be paid by the recipient would be base on the type of account they have and can vary from as little as 1.9% to as much as 4.9%.  To send enough to ensure that there was at least $460 left after fees you would have to send ($460 * 1.049) + $.30 = $482.84.  But, if you purchased an item on eBay or through almost any other site that accepts PayPal (especially if they also accept credit/debit cards), you only have to send the agreed upon price.  The seller is paying PayPal to collect the money the same way that retailers pay credit card companies a percentage of their credit card sales.

    So, unless you made a very unusual deal that explicitly says you would pay any PayPal fees, you only need to send the $460.00 agreed upon price (plus any shipping and handling fees agreed upon.)  Some sellers add enough to their shipping and handling costs to cover their expected PayPal fees.
