  1. also try guardian.co.uk or thetimesonline.co.uk both feature a variety of jobs - architect pays more than interior designers but requires more training

  2. Jobboards are a good source of this type of information. reed.co.uk has a job/salary calculator based on jobs added to the site. As lots of different employers and recruiters add jobs to reed.co.uk, it is a good source for realistic salaries.

You can also filter by location, the link below shows salaries for Architects and Interior designers based on these types of jobs in London.

  3. For interior designers it depends on what type of position you plan to have in the field, your reputation, and the area that you work in. As an average, an assistant interior designer can start at $20.00 an hour, a certified interior designer can start anywhere from $50,000-$60,000 annually, and a partner in a top firm can make as much as $200,000 annually.

Again this varies by location and reputation,  but according to the 2006–2007 Occupation Outlook Handbook published by the US Department of Labor, the median salary of architects was $62,960 with the middle 50% earning between $46,690 and $79,770. This was slightly above accountants (median income $50,770), college professors (median income $51,800) and on par with most branches of engineering (median income of roughly $60,000). Partners in top firms can top $300,000
