How much do jeans shrink?

How much do they shrink in the waist when I wash and dry them. I'm not sure how much cotton is in it

Actually, jeans shrinkage varies greatly from pair to pair. Generally, if they are good jeans and pre-shrunk, they shouldn't shrink at all. However, that is often not the case.

depnding on your cotton level but usaully not alot becaus ei tried intentionaly to shrink mine i got the wrong size and no returns my luck haha but usually they don't shrink to badely

Most of the shrinkage in jeans is in the length, usually under 1".  

Since the waistband is several layers of fabric, the shrinkage is minimal.
