  1. what program is this?  do you know the name of it?  are you going to be considered active duty while in college?  it depends on the program.  you would have to discuss the pay with the marines.

  2. Depends on rank and time in service. Check these pay tables.

Note: A Marine E-5 with 4 years of service will get the same pay as an Army E-5 with 4 years of service.

  3. Very few money.

I mean you would wonder you are defending your country and risking your life and you get paid slim to nothing.

  4. um they only pay a small portion of colladge go 2 west point and be a millitary officer than u get alot more money

  5. http://www.dfas.mil/militarypay.html

This should answer all of your questions.  When I joined the Air Force in October, 1974 I was paid $369/month.  How times, and pay rates, have changed!!

  6. lol, what? What exactly are you talking about?

If you want to be an officer, here are your options:

    1. MESEP program prior to enlisting. Once you get out of boot camp, you'll be a reservist and your job will be to go to college.

    2. College degree prior to enlisting. This is you paying for college, getting a BA or BS, and signing up as a commissioned officer and having to go to OCS.

    3. Mustang officer. This is the MESEP program, except you get approved for being part of the MESEP program (gotta make a package, get endorsements, etc.), and then you go to college until you have a BA or BS degree, then go to OCS and do all the officer stuff.

With options 1 and 3, you are required to pay the military back. For every year you're on the MESEP, you owe the military that much time back. There is no "officer thing" where you just go in for two years then jump onto a program where they can pull you out of school. There is no such thing. You can go to school while you're enlisted, but this is no special magical pseudo-officer program or anything. You just are enlisted and, on top of that, you also go to school.

As for the payment, it depends on your time in service and pay grade.

  7. If you ask about the pay then join the army. The only benefits of being a marine is being call a marine which is as good as being a army soldier. http://www.goarmy.com, the army can offer more than USMC and to a better quality.

  8. slim to nothing
