  1. I would personally say that parents will not put more then 500$ to help on your first car but it really depends how your parents are

  2. My father offered to match any amount I brought to him.. I came up with 1,500 and he matched that amount.

I plan to do the same with my son. You dont want your kids driving a total piece of c**p but you dont want to hand them something they didnt earn either.

  3. Probably around 10K.. However, teenagers should not drive period.. 21 and over.

  4. based on my own personal experience, both my parents each gave me $5000. so $10000. might seem like quite a bit, but i have to drive to college every morning and its quite a distance and they didnt want me driving some shitbox, nor did they want me to just "Get" a car. i needed to work for one. so i worked like a bugger to raise another 10k and bought myself a 2005 ford mustang GT.

  5. in my case, absolutely none.

but i would put up around 3 grand for my kids car. no need to get them a nice one they will just s***w up anyway. first cars always get destroyed because they wont appreciate them. they didn't have to work for the money to buy it, you did.

  6. 8 percent of a mouth income - ins will bit you a lot - PL - PD ins

  7. Not one damned penny. They can work and save for their first car like I did. My children are fully aware that if they want a car that they are on the hook for all the expense. I have seen what teenagers do to cars that they get for free. I know that my boys will protect their investments.
