How much do negatives on your credit report really affect your credit score?

By negatives I mean accounts other than credit cards that have gone to collections. If I have alot of negatives, can I still boost my score by paying my three credit cards on time and staying well below my limit, ect. Or am I just kind of screwed until the negatives get deleted in seven years?

  1. You can use credit repair agency to fix your credit - for example this one - http://freecreditreport.hotusa.org - They can clean lots of such bad stuff from your credit report - and do it much faster than yourself, so your credit will go up fast.

  2. After 12 months of good credit, your score improves somewhat.

After 24 months of good credit, your score improves significantly.

You will still have trouble obtaining credit though if you refuse to deal with these old debts.

Try contacting them and negotiating a pay for deletion agreement. If they bite, you might get them off your credit reports well before the 7 year mark.

  3. check out this site, http://www.cellsware.info/restorecredit . i believe they would be able to help you boost your score by about 10 to 15 points a week!
