  1. I assume you are speaking of a rear projection big screen tv. If so, you didn't mention if it is a so called hidef model which would make the tubes a little more expensive. Even though the price of the tubes have come down quite a bit it makes no sense to do so unless you are only replacing one and in order for this to make sense your tv should not be too old. Other wise the one tube you replace will be brighter than the others throwing the clor off a bit. Labour for replacement of tubes is a little pricey because it isn't a quick job. To answer your question directly it would not be out of line to for it to cost $550.00 for replacement of one tube.


  2. The cost will be substantial (at least $500).  I would strongly recommend purchasing a new tv.  You can get a 60" DLP for about $1000.

  3. way too much to make it worth it. Go to costco with $1,000 and get a nice new LCD for your wall.
