  1. Offensive line gets paid a lot more than the defensive, corner backs, and even some quarterbacks. The best can get paid up to 10 million dollars a year, but the worst get paid less than almost everyone on the field at about 100k a year. Defensive line, I would say the best get paid about 5 million a year, 6 or 7 tops. Line backers i would say get paid 7 or 8 million a year at best and the worst paid about 1 million or less.

  2. Let's move past the opinions and share some objective information...

    Minimum NFL Salary

As of the 2007 season, the minimum salary for a rookie is $285,000. The minimum salary increases according to the number of years the player has been in the league. The highest minimum salary is $820,000 for players who have been in the league 11 years or more.

The minimum salary structure for 2007 was as follows:

    Rookies and first-year players $285,000

    Second-year players $360,000

    Third-year $435,000

    Fourth-year $510,000

    Fifth- through seventh-year $595,000

    Eighth- through tenth-year $720,000

    Eleventh-year and longer $820,000

What determines the salary for rookies is their draft round and number. Early rounds sign multi-million dollar contracts.  Later rounds are looking at the minimum to start.

The top earner on the offensive line is typically the left tackle for weak side pass protection.  He is the "money" player. The top pay on the team goes to the "skilled" or "hands" players - QB, RB, WRs.
