How much do olympic athletes make?

I am trying to figure out if olympic athletes get paid by team usa or is all their money from endorsements?

i don't know but i do know that countries pay athletes if they win medals for eg. in Armenia 500 000 dollars for gold

Some countries pay for medals, including the US, but the only actual figure I've heard is Canada, which pays $20,000 for a gold.

depends... kobe bryant is an olympic athlete, and so is dara torres. i'd wager he makes a lot more than she does. it all depends on the popularity of your sport, and how good you are, and how much endorsers think they can make off you.

i'm not sure about all athletes but Michael Phelps received 100 Million dollars for his 8th gold medal....

that doesn't include everything else, i'm sure he gets.
