Are they worth more constructed and painted than in kit form? What is the markup?

  1. It depends on the individual collector.  I like to collect, assemble, and paint my own miniatures.  For myself, I wouldn't pay MORE for a painted miniature, but in fact, I'd pay less.  I would have to strip the paint from the miniature before I could paint it myself.

Some people want "ready made" armies, because they hate to paint them.  I would buy up an army, paint it and play with it until I got bored and then sell the whole thing off.

You can check on eBay to see what similar miniatures would sell for (what people are offering).  One other option is to check down at your local game store and see if they will display your miniatures and sell them by "consignment".  That means they get a cut of the total that the miniatures sell for because they display them for you.
