It is anonymous, so I am not entirely sure.  The reward is usually UP TO $1000, but you shouldn't let money be the motivator for reporting a crime.

Reporting crime is the right thing to do, and if you were the victim of a crime, you would certainly want someone who had information about it to come forward, regardless of the offer or lack of a reward.
