  1. Most of the parks aren't open all year except for the California parks, or Florida parks. The other parks are usually open for only 6 months.

    At most parks, you don't pay for each ride. You pay for admission to the park. A season pass at Six Flags Magic Mountain is $59.99 till May 18, but you don't get the parking for free. If you were to pay for just one roller coaster ride, sometimes they could be $6.00, but other times they could be $10.00, or so for one ride when they aren't at amusement parks like in Las Vegas.

  3. Due to the high expense of building and maintaining the machines, most coasters today are located within theme parks.  The admission to those varies from $30 to $100.

    The bigger and better the coasters, the higher the admission to the park.
