Once you take out the taxes i heard they make about in the range $20-$75. So what is the amount and once over time comes in when you work 40 hours a week. So how much do you think you make a day if you work 10 hours a day. Lets say if you work for like cleveland clinic or something. What do you say? Thanks for your time and support.

  1. If you want to play with the numbers a bit, then go to one of the many pay scale calculators that are available.  You can change things like location, experience etc. to see what you might get.

  2. On average, pharmacists make about $50-60 per hour depending on position and location. What they take home after taxes will depend on how many dependents they have, what state they live in, and if their employer witholds any insurance premiums or other payments before or after taxes.

Also, different companies, especially hospitals, have different policies when it comes to overtime pay. Some consider pharmacy a salaried position so a 10 hour day does not get paid OT. You get paid 40 hours for four 10 hour days. Others may pay OT but they may pay less per hour or have you "punch out" for an unpaid lunch break. I've worked at hospitals where I was compensated for working a double shift to cover a sick call by getting a day off 2 weeks later!!! Now i work retail where they have to pay OT so they are adamant about me not staying 2 seconds later than my shift ends!

After tax pay is so variable from person to person even at the same company in the same job description, there is no way to compare.
