How much do piano lessons cost?

i live in southern california, in the high desert area.

im 15, so i was just wondering whats the price for piano lessons? it would be one on one

sometimes they are cheap and sometimes they are expensive........my teacher teacher offered me classes for like 20 dollars an hour....thats kinda steep.   im not saying u dnt need a teacher but these days u can teach urself instruments just from the internet

HI Alley.   It really depends on the teacher on how much lessons are.   They actually make up their own fees so many times you find teachers who are very reasonable and others who are way more than hardly anyone can afford.    But again.. there are some that are reasonable.  I think you can find one of the reasonable ones for $25.00 to $35.00  per session which might be 30 minutes to 1 hour.   I would be certain that you would have private lessons where the teacher just works with you alone.   :)).    If you are 15,  this is a great age to get involved with music.  You can be serious about it or it can be your hobby.  In any case,  if you start to enjoy your daily lesson practice,  you will have fun playing the piano.   I wish you all the luck with it.  Thanks for reading?  :))

PSS:  If you don't already know a teacher,  have your parents to check with craigslist.org in the city closest to where you live.  Look in the "Lessons Tutoring" catagory.
