We're thinking of relocating from the US to Ireland. My husband is a licensed plumber in the US, how much could he expect to make in Ireland?

  1. I agree with Lee, £60 or there abouts.

  2. Due to the housing boom, and the high demand for plumbers and other trades, plumbers, carpenters, builder, etc., could pretty much name their prices ... however all this is changing as the housing market is slowing down slightly.

Still, your husband could still earn a fair bit. Try www.manpower.ie to see if they could help you with this information.

  3. ALOT trust me..

  4. Alot of money...About 60 quid an hour

  5. Too mucH!!! Trades people such as plumbers earn a fortune at the moment!

  6. A plumber in dublin can earn more than a junior doctor

Lots of work and lots of money

  7. I tell you this plummers make huge money here in Ireland. From €60-80 an hour.

  8. Too much, would be your answer. My sons a plumber, chose that instead of going to university.Minimum €1,200 a week.Sky's the limit though so start packing cos there's a shortage of tradesman and my husband who's a building contractor has work lined up for 3 years ahead and laughs when folk say the boom's finishing.Believe me it's just getting in to its stride. One warning though house prices here are in silly figures now so that's what you must check ahead about first of all especially in and around Dublin.Good luck
