  1. about 20-33 thousand depending on experience, you can earn more by taking on extra responsibilities

primary headteachers go from about 35 to 50 thousand depending on the size of the school

    have a lok here:

  2. i'm currently doing teacher training and it varies on area, school budget, point in the heirachy and size of the school

to be honest you have to have a real passion for it and not be worrying about the pay... on placement alone having got back from school at about 5 i'd be working until 3am so make sure you're ready for the long hours lol... and whoever mentioned above about holidays... they're trying to cut them down now even though they're needed when you're constantly working the rest of the time

    hope that helps

  3. Starts on about 20K I think.  There is very few jobs available though.  primary school teachers tend to stay in the same job for a long time and alot of people want to work with cute kids.  My best friend's mother is the secretary at an average school in a very average area and the last teacher vacancy got over a hundred applications, mostly from new teachers!

  4. sweet frig all!

but u get gud holidays an ur pay is split up so u get continuously paid thru da year n durin holidays

  5. Not enough!!

  6. it depoends on lots of things

    1.  if u live in london u get more

    2.  what grade u get in ur degree (people with firsts start off higher)

    3.  then depends on ur experience

    4.  then depends on ur job - e.g. post threshold (more experience) leadership role (TLR points, leadership scale e.g. deputy head, head)

    5.  if u are management depends on ur performance management targets being met

    6.  also depends if in a private or public school

check this link out it gives u all the info in full :D

  7. I would say primary school teacher EARN a lot but GET PAID little.

They do get good holidays though!

  8. Hiya,

The teaching pay scale is £20,133 - £34,281 per annum.

Might I also add that Hannah B has a very over-active imagination.  There are plenty of jobs out there, I work in a top primary school in North Tyneside, and they only had 8 candidates for 3 vacancies.  Apparently all of the candidates were rubbish aswell. If you are good at your job, you will have no problems finding work.  Especially as over 70% of primary school teachers are approaching retirement age.
