  1. Lidl pay their staff more than minimum wage because they -have- to.

    Have you ever been to the stores?

    They are understaffed and over worked intentionally, apparently it keeps costs down for the consumers.

    I can't remember accurately what they were around my area, but it was definitely more than your average store assistants pay.
