How much do the models of maxim/fhm get paid? I heard they do the photo shoot for free, so where does the money come from?and how much do they make?

doing magazine editorial or appearing on the cover does not pay maybe upto $300 because the magazine is doing you a favour, you will become known if you appear on a magazine by industry people. the real money comes from advertising or appearing nude for playboy etc or doing fashion shows and appearances. fashion models are payed more than fhm models

that depends.

sometimes they only pay for the unkeep of the model, plane fare, good and hotel and nothing else.

sometimes they give the model the right to use the clothing of the photoshoot.

dont know about maxim, but usually when a woman appears in this type of magazines there is a no pay policy since they are doing youa  favour.

the money comes from advertising, since once you become a well known face, everyone would want you to sell their products.  money will start to pur out of every source , e.g ,private events, getting paid for going to a new disco ,getting  paid for going to an especific restaurant , a small part on a tv show.
