  1. Not personally familiar with the pay, but yes you do work hard.

NCL is very large in the cruise ship business, I know that when you are hired, it is for a 30 day trip at a time. No days off til the venture has ended.  They were hiring in Hawaii for around $12 dollars per hour + tips.  (tips are yours no matter what and do not have to be claimed as income on cruise ships). So I have been told.   If you are single and want a different experience, it would be great!!  Not a good choice if you have alot of responsibilities.

  2. I worked in the entertainment department for Royal Caribbean, it was a staff position.  I made about $1650 a month before taxes...about $1450 a month after taxes.

  3. Bridge crew and the officers tend to get quite good pay on ships. However the restaurant waiters and cabin stewards get very low wages and rely on the tips that customers give them at the end of each cruise.

  4. Depends on the position!

  5. on carnival they get 75  a month  + Free room + Free Food.

    + 15% Gradituity's.

Which could be like 300 dollars a month when you add gradtuity's.

    Hope i helped!
