  1. Water is 8.7 pounds per gallon.  The weight of the aquarium will vary with the thickness of the glass, etc, but probably 25 to 50 pounds each plus water weight.

  2. 29 gallon is 242 pound plus tank weight

55 gallon is 459 pounds plus weight of tank which varies

  3. I have both and I have 5 gallon bottles of water. what is weird is when I put the water in it didnt take a full 29 gallons ( the tank was empty with no rocks or anything)

The 29 gallon only took about 23 gallons so I would say with all your fish and decorations and such would weigh from 210-230 lbs

To be a good estimater I would say 215 pounds

The 55 is basically the same it only took 46 gallons of water without anything in it so that with all decor. etc.

    Would be around 420lbs

If you are trying to put it on a desk or wooden dresser  I wouldnt because I actually had my old 55 gallon fall on the floor because the wood finally gave up and crushed. The 29 gallon is fine if the dresser looks good.

    Hope this helped

  4. A gallon of water weighs around 10 gallons. So a 29 would be 290 pounds plus the glass and ornament weight. The 55 would be 550 plus glass and ornament weight.
