Minimum wage.  maybe a little over.   That's why it's so hard to get decent service, and the food is so often spoiled.  Because they are all 18 year olds with no experience and bad attitudes.

We start all slightly above minimum wage which here in Florida is higher than the Federal minimum  wage.  First job minors, minimum wage.  Experience pays more as always.

Typically they start people off over your state's minimum wage, but try to keep it low enough not to affect their labour dollars.  Here in Arizona, McDonald's starts their employees off at about $8.00 an hour, if they have experience about $9.00. Many fast food places start at $7.50 an hour or less.  Depends on who owns it - the company or a franchisee and how big the franchisee's chain is.

Usually minimum wage or slightly above.  Raises are few and far between.

Well when I first started (this was back in 2000) it was 6.00/hr and by the time I left in 2005 as a manager, I was only making 9.00/hr.  They really don't pay their employees very well, the work conditions are not very good, and they have terrible benefits, which is why it's such a quick turnover rate and they can keep paying employees such a low wage.
