Ok...well I've been cutting several yards in my neighborhood and I'm wondering if I'm charging to much or not charging enough. The guy across the street is paying me $30 to cut his grass the yard isn't very big and I mow and weedwack (takes about 1 hour). On the other side of town I'm being paid $80 to cut a yard that has a good size front yard but the back yard has a pool and isn't that big (1 hour also). You may be saying that is way to much, but shes the one who suggested the price. I cut about 15 yards a week making about $470ish a week (all profit). I do a great job if I may say so...I make sure the lines a perfect and double check everything. I sweep and keep the bushes trimmed with the payments. Oh and how much should I charge to pressure wash per square foot?

  1. Base cost (up to 1/4 acre) = $30.00

    Up to 1/2 acre lot = $45.00

    Up to 1 acre lot = $60.00

Keep the trimming, clean up of yard junk, and anything not dealing with cutting the grass out of the basic equation to avoid getting worked to death.

  2. Labor now is cheap supplies are not it sounds you are getting about the right price!

  3. for general garden/odd job work, the going rate is betwen $20-$30 per hour. Depends how rich the boss is!

  4. Well I dont know what the prices are in the US but here where I live the gardener charges £15 an hour but I am lucky enough to have found a guy who charged me £50 for the first time and then £25 pm after the first time and he does a really good job.   I dont have an area that has to be pressure washed so I dont know what the charges should be.
