  1. um the car would be in bad shape thos things could esaly go through the front of that car the roof and the windsheild

  2. The windhields are made out of Lexan.  It's virtually bullet proof.

  3. how much does a bird weigh, and what would happen if you hit one going like 200 miles per hour? that happened. probably same results to the light, but more damage to the car.

  4. they said that during the race that it would not be good for one to fall on a car.  They seem heavy.  It must have been loose a little to fall like that.  No one really hit it.  It was like the 'big one' of the race.

  5. If it hit the lexan windshield there would be a chance of driver injury or death. Lexan, in the thickness used by Nascar is not bullet proof and certainly not signal light proof.

Nascar will mandate all tracks secure the lights redundantly after this.

  6. With all the safety features installed in COT they still have not got one to save a driver from a light hitting a car at 200 miles an hour. Light will go through that thickness of lexan like a hot knife through warm butter or another way of saying adios driver if he's hit
