  1. The two previous answers are addressing two separate issues, if im not mistaken. It depends on whether you intend to get the typical shark that most think of (salt water) or a freshwater fish deemed a shark. Saltwater sharks will require VERY expensive equipment and upkeep, I would recommend having at least a couple of thousand dollars to start that project. A freshwater shark, on the other hand, is probably not what you're thinking of but is a decent alternative and will be much cheaper.

  2.   You can get a ten gallon tank, for around 15$, the bala shark gets about a foot and cost about ten dollers

  3. $400-$600 for the tank, filter, plants etc. you'll probably need a 50-70 gallon tank.

  4. Over a thousand dollars, I'd say roughly.

Even small sharks like port jacksons, bamboo or catsharks require a decent size tank to even so much as survive.

You'd need at the very minimum a couple hundred gallon tank, live rock, sand, filters, lighting, powerheads, etc.

Not a simple set up, and no cheap easy way to do it.
