How much do u think it would cost to open a surf shop?

i was woundering about how much you think it would cost to take and open a surf shop. get the name, buy property, and get supply, and what ever else you have to do.

Assume that you would rent your property, the costs to set up the business would be variable depending on your location (state, etc.).

Here are a few things to consider:

- Business Establishment:  $1000 or less

- Clothing Inventory:  $10,000-$15,000

- Surfboard inventory:  $10,000-$20,000

- Other Inventory:  $10,000-$15,000

- Electricity, power, etc.:  $300-$500/month

- Cash Register/Payment Processing:  $500-$1500

As you can see, your major expense is inventory.  You have many decisions on what to stock but this will be a rotating item.  Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter styles for clothing....big expense cycle.

You will need $100,000 in credit or capital to get started for a good shop.
