  1. It might help if you tell us where you expect to be leaving from in four years or at least where you are now.  There aren't currently many flights between I Don't Know and London.

  2. First and foremost, It's not going to be cheap I went to London in March and got a GREAT deal on airfare via British Airways. But with rising gas prices, etc, you can find airfare to London roughly $800 or so. Not to mention the Pound Sterling (their currency) is double the dollar. So for every pound you spend, you are spending $2.

For two weeks and as a student, stay at a hostel; they are far cheaper than hotels. Or if you know family or friends that is better. Also try couch surfing as the hosts usually let you stay for free in exchange for your company (I used it for Australia). For 9 days in UK (including airfare, we spent $1200, $600 tix, $600 expenses). But we also did traveling. You can easily book a hostel for 14 days close to central London, shop at the local grocer (Tesco is cheap), and limit your traveling (possibly getting a tube pass). For a day pass you look at about 12 pounds ($24).

And for the olympics start looking a good 6-9 months before you want to travel for cheap rates. Also flying Tuesday or Wednesday yields cheaper tickets. Or you can risk it and look for last minute "big savings".

FYI: I hope your grammar is better than your spelling... Don't embarass your culture while abroad.

  4. It has also been a life goal of mine to witness the Olympics first hand. Well, one thing is for sure and that is that is won't be cheap.

    You will need:

    1. An airplane ticket

    2. Hotel Room

    3. Food and etc.

    4. Olympics ticket

My estimate is around $10,000 total but I am not sure!
