How much do we charge for triming a large tree and taking to dump. Took 8 hours.

Did you have to climb the tree?  Was special equipment involved?  You must have needed a chainsaw, a truck and trailer.  How far away was the dump?  Did you need to fill the truck with an extra tank of gas?  It sounds like you are not an official tree company, but someone who does this on the side.  We paid $5,000 for about 8- thirty foot oak trees to be cut down, grind out the stumps, cut up the trees, and haul away.  It was very precise work as the trees were huge and very close (5 feet away) to my home.  The work took 3 full days to complete by a professional tree service with 2-3 or 4 men at the site each day.  

    If you charged $50 per hour, that would be $400 total.  If the tree was very large, that might be about right, I think.
