And what sizes do they come in? I'm trying to cost up building a rabbit run and I need a total of 112ft of wood, 2x1. How much does it cost for one baton and what size would that be? I plan on cutting it down into 8 pieces of 8ft, 10 pieces of 4ft, and 24 pieces of 2ft... I'm a bit c**p at maths so I'm not the best person to work out what lengths would be cost effective to buy.

  1. B&Q have a website try that

  2. Too much! go to your local builders yard, they will probably be less than half of what B&Q would charge.

  3. Yes you are bad at math, your total comes to 152 ' of wood.19 pieces of 8' boards would do. Hope you can use a tape measure better than you can add. 8x8 =64 , 10x4=40 , 24x2=48.  64+ 40+ 48 = 152 Mabe you should go to a dollar store and buy a calculator as you don`t even know how to use the one on your computer

  4. Why don't you just Google B&Q and look through their stock list?  By the way, it's battens you want to search for, not batons.

  5. Wickes is very much cheaper than B & Q for timber.

    2 x1 comes in lengths of 1.8m & 2.4m (6 foot & 8 foot)
