  1. 20%

  2. 20% unless the service is really good then I add a few bucks.

  3. if I get extra good service ex. coffee recommendations etc. I will go all out and tip as much as 40-50% If I have to beg for service I will tip minimal.

  4. 15 to 20% depending on the service, friendliness, food quality, cleanliness, etc.

    To calculate 20%:

Tip $1 for every $5 ...or $2 for every $10.

    To calculate 15%:

Tip 75-cents for every $5 ...which is $1.50 for every $10.

  5. Between 15-25%, depending on the service.

  6. a tip is an extra thing you give ... its like a gift you get to someone on his birthday ...

the price depends on your decision of how happy you want this person to be ....

i usually give 10% which is reasonable enough .... but if i feel that this person has put extra effort specially for me ... i do the same and give him and extra thing :)

  7. Usually 20% for good service (10% for buffets).  Most food servers need tips to survive - don't be stingy.

  8. depends but usually 15 -20 percent

  9. 20% unless horrible.

    And more if great.

By the tone of your "y'all" I bet you don't even get close to this range, ever.

  10. if the service is good I tip 20 percent if poor I only tip 10 percent

  11. 20% is a good tip.  A lot of restaurants have a standard tip out of 2-3%. (meaning 2-3% of your total bill excluding tip will go out to other employees such as bar/bus/host)  Servers are automatically taxed on 10% of your bill because the IRS thinks that everyone leaves at least 10%.  So if you leave less than 10% the server has to pay out of their own pocket (taking food out of their kids mouths)  You should never blame the server for bad food/drinks or a long wait for your food. Would you want your paycheck to be deducted because of someone else mistake?

  12. I'm with ya 4.  Big Tip$ is probably a stripper or giving happy endings breakfasts for those BIG $4.00 tips on a $20.00 breakfast.

    That aside...

I start with 20% from the time I sit at the table. 90% of servers stay at 20% because I've been there and been a server.

It's those 10% that really have to work hard at "sucking" where I deduct from the 20%, but never below the 10% mark.

  13. it all depends on how good the service i recieve is
