How much do you commonly spend on a 3 day vacation for 2?

AH, I realize now how vague my question is!

There are so many variables here?  Are you flying or driving?  Are you staying at a little B&B, or a 5* hotel?  Do you want to do specialty activities, or just lie around the pool, window shop and drink coffee?  Check your Saturday paper for all the travel specials.  That is when most papers print them.

About a month ago i went on a three day vacation with my father.

We spent around $150 on fuel for just over a 1000km's travelled. $230 for two nights accomodation and no more than $100 each on food/entertainment etc.
