  1. A friend of mine just bought herself a truck and she also wanted to lower it!, We went to PeP-BOYS and got a lowering kit for around 40.00...   Trick is you have to do it yourself..

  2. It depends on how you go about it.  One of my friends ( I STRONGLY suggest you dont do this) just took his springs out and cut them with a wheel cutter.  If you do this your car wont handle very well and you will have abnormal tire wear.  You can install an air ride system which allows you to adjust the ride height from the driver's seat and has good handling characteristics.   Or you can go and just buy smaller springs, or you can buy a coilover set which is adjustable from the outside with a spanner wrench.  The air ride system will cost about $1000 to install due to fabrication work(mounting the tank, fabbing up brackets, etc), the coilovers or springs will cost between $75-150 to install.  Note: these prices will vary with the cost of hourly labor as they fluctuate from shop to shop and these prices do not include the parts themselves.

  3. hope you never need a tow.  You will really damage your car and the tow company is not responsible
