My friend recently told me he worked at a golf course last summer and earned about $500 a week mainly through tips. The neighborhood his golf course is in is a rather upscale neighborhood so im sure that had something to do with it. If anyone here has worked as a cartboy what was your weekly earnings on average including tips? thank you

  1. All my cart staff make minimum wage as a base, and I tell them they can make an extra $3-10 per hour with tips depending on how hard they work. I would say it averages out to about $12 per hour for them.

The real benefit to them is the ability to play golf for free.

  2. well it depends on your experience.A caddy has not to only carry golf bag but at times he also advises the player at crucial situations.Good Luck!!!

  3. It depends on what you will be doing as "cart boy".  The kids at my course just run the carts up from the cart barn and park them for the golfers to take out on the course.  Then they take them back to the barn and clean them when the golfer has finished the round.  They don't really come in contact with the golfers at all and thus do not get very many tips.  I think they earn about $7/hour.
