  1. As much as he wants.  It's more about consistency.  Mix cereal with formula so that it looks and stirs like watery apple sauce.


  2. According to Nestle GoodStart - very best baby resource:

    4-6 months old:  

    Nursing on demand or about 24-40 oz milk daily

    Cereal:  Start with rice first and if accepted then move on to oats and barley.  Baby should take in 4-8 Tbsp cereal (mixed form) DAILY or break it up into 2-4 Tbsp (mixed form) TWICE DAILY,  I did twice daily...seemed to hold him through a little better.  Mixed form is with the formula as well as the cereal.

    Tbsp = tablespoons (use instead of teaspoons as listed in your question)
