How much do you have to pay for health care in America?

We have the NHS so I have no idea how much health care costs in other countries.

Where's Peachy get her figures? I had cheap insurance in a large company with a 250 deductible. I had to pay for my own neurologist. Cost me $2400, after I paid $236  a month for insurance, saw my doctor, paid for office visit, celebrates (yes, they charged for samples) 3 doctors trips cost me $3000, out of my pocket.

I'm not sure why I had insurance. I went to my company with my doctor reports, they didn't file anything. I was hurt on the job, 3 times and when I asked, worker's comp had never heard of me.

I filed a claim with worker's comp, on the spot. I went to the office and and told them I filed worker's comp, how would they compensate my $2400? That helped my case 2 years later.

Word to Peachy, I never saw my $2400, again. It cost me 3 grand to see a decent doctor. Our health-care sucks.

about $400 - $500 per month for a single person and that does not include dental or vision.

i pay very little for health care as i have health care insurance . if you are poor you get free health care   .

I'm in North America in Canada.  I pay a few cents more on items I buy i.e (TAXES), and I get 100% medical coverage.  

This is why socialism is better.

I have gotten estimates for myself and the lowest was about 165 a month. You can also pay different ways, like some insurance will cover you for 3 months at a time for a lower rate...it just varies on you and your overall health and how many people are going to be on the plan and the type of coverage you want. A lot of factors go into the cost!
