  1. I'm mostly retired now.  But when I was a waitress I was making $3.09/hr.  However, after calculating tips, I topped out at $37/hr once in a 5 hour shift.

  2. i am a nurse and i make 37.50 an hour ( and i am very thankful as i worked my way thru college with a min. wage job)  and i do keep in mind that wait staff make <min wage  and are many times students.

  3. $17.30, Dental assistant

  4. I work with mental patients and the pay isn't high enough 9.95 do you feel sorry for me

  5. i work part time as a server while im in school, and luckily i live in canada so at mininmum wage im making 8.00 an hour plus tips. it works out to about  19.00  an hour on average. I think its ridiculous what servers in the states get base pay, crazy!! The only reason im at 8 is becuase ive only been there a couple months too.

  6. Why is this question in the dining out section?  And as a waitress I make $2.13 an hour.  Most waiters and waitresses do.  We are expected to get tips, or gratuities to supplement our hourly wage here in the good ole' USA.  So those of you who tip less than the low-end 15% should keep that in mind.

  7. I am a 911/emergency dispatcher in Redding, CA and I make 18.68 per hour plus benefits and retirement.

funny how thats 3 of us who are some type of dispatcher...

  8. $22.45, postal dispatcher.

  9. 20% of total price of an event i plan.  I'm a Freelance Event Coordinator. I stay pretty busy through out the year...it helps that I love my job. I can normally plan 2 parties at one time.

The last event I did cost almost $30k.

  10. I make $23.68 and hour and am a dispatcher.

Shout out to the other dispatchers!!!!  Working midnights this week....

  11. 24.08 per hour. On-call pay is 8.65 for every hour I am on call.  Call-in pay for me is 36.12 and they pay me 3 hours per call-in.

I am a process technician (we make plastic parts).

  12. Our office staff people with high school educations made from $12 to $26/hour plus benefits.  Our field laborers start at $16.18 and go up to $27.42 after about a year.

Get an education and work both hard and smart, and there is no limit to what you can do.  I make a lot of money (over $125/hour) and love my work.

If you pick a profession you truly love, you'll never have to dread going to work.
