How much do you make at USPS as a mail handler?

  1. If you get a career appointment, you can expect to be paid:

    Part Time Flexible starts at $15.49

    If you get converted to Full Time Regular, the base rate is $14.89.

    The reason that the PTF rate is higher is that a PTF does not receive Holiday Pay. The extra per hour makes up for that.

    Once a Full Time Regular, after about 8 years, you can be at the top step where you are paid $24.20 per hour.

    Overtime is all but assured for Mail Handlers and is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate.


  2. Depends if your a casual employe which would be the less around 10 11,  a Part Time Flexable around 15-20, Part Time Regular about the same and Full time can make up to 25 +  hr.
