How much do you need to pay to exchange currency?

I've got some US dollars and I want to exchange them to Hong Kong Dollars, but I don't know how much to pay the exchanger. My friend says that you need to pay 10% of the money you want to exchange, is that true? Also, do they deduct the amount of money you need to pay in the currency exchanged?

it depends on the amounts you are looking to exchange


under £5k a bank is competitive as any


over £5k use a currency broker such as OmnisFX as you will get a better rate of exchange.
