How much do you owe?

I'm on about 2 and a half k.

No personal loans, my credit card is up to date and cleared.

Debt is relative to the value of the property you own.

2.5k is a lot to owe if you have nothing to show for it, but if you have a car worth 5k and a means of repaying the debt then it is not a lot.

Same as the man that owes 2 million pounds but is worth 5 million it's an OK debt

Negative debt, or no way of paying debt back if things go wrong is NO good at all.

25000 i have a loan from the bank to pay off some of my credit cards but i didn't give them all up i have another 4 to pay off plus a catalogue which i don't order from i wish i had one payment a month then i wouldn't worry

Wow the people answering this question must all be single.

I have an average house in my area with a husband and 2 children.  Both my husband and I work and pay a mortgage and for childcare.  Because of this I am skint!!!

Sometimes i think we would be better off on the dole, getting the rent and council tax paid, as well as any college courses i wanted to do for free (i have just had to pay £300 for a course where I have been sat alongside single parents who have been able to do it for free and had childcare taken care of too)

I owe my parents a debt that money can't repay.

For bringing me into this world, protecting me, feeding me, raising me, giving me financial support and teaching me values. One of these values was that debt is basically a bad thing and if you can't afford it then either save for it or go without.

That's why I don't owe a penny.

i owe not a penny to anyone i paid of all my credit cards then shredded them and good riddance to them i now pay cash for everything if i cant afford i don't buy it
