How much do you pay for a kilo (or pound) of fresh mussels in your local market?

I produce mussels and I try to see what the prices around the world are.

In my country we do not eat mussels.   But some people who I know collects wild vine mussels and sell restaurants for 2$ in Kg

In Los Angeles, California, I pay $ 16  for a 3bls bag (about 1.5 kilo) of live mussels.

They are eaten all over France even if they are more popular in Northern France, coastal regions and Paris.

The price varies a lot depending on where you buy them and on the quality. It goes from 3 € / kilo to 5 € / kilo on the market. Price is always given with shell. But the producers sell them 1.65 € / kilo.

Connoissers prefer by far the small Atlantic ones which are very flavorful to the large Spanish & Mediterranean ones but both are sold in France.
