I live in Ohio and would like to know what to charge for watching a grade school age child. I provide morning and afternoon snacks, Mon-Fri from 8am-5:30 pm. What do some of you moms pay for in home child care? thanks!

  1. I would say about $150 - $200 a week... i mean you dont want to parents to be broke (LOL) but at the same time you are giving up your time to watch them!! =)

  2. I was paid 12/hour to watch two grade schoolers.

  3. most daycares charge $150 a week per child....

  4. I pay my family $10 a day and non family $20 a day here in Indianapolis.

  5. I would pay you $15 an hour

  6. 12 bucks an hour

  7. $175 a week!

This is my reasoning (It is not that hard to only watch a grade school age child..so the pay would be less than a younger age)  I would say in my area watching 1 school age child, i would make 3.50 an hour probly.  .So 9.5 times 3.5 is $33.25.

    Then 33.25 times 5 is $166.25

And since this looks like this would be your job....I would add some more because of that fact and because you provide food that you pay for.   Add about 10 dollars for that and there you go.

So there you go if your area pays more than that for childcare then go with the same kind of math problem...Just change the $3.50....Goodluck!

  8. It varies in different region but normally it costs you somewhere around $5 to $9 a day but if the paent is kind unlike mine she or he might give you double fingers cross

    tcxxhope this helps :P
