How much do you pay for water rates?

I have moved in to my new house and i have to pay £10 a week to yourkshire water they are sending me out a book. Unfortunatly im not working at the moment as my child is sick and i need to be at home as im a single mum so i am claining benefits for the short term but yorkshire water still says that i dont get any discount. I think £10 a week for water is allot? Thats how much i spend on food for myself a week. Is this too much?

Scotland it is in with council tax but for the unemployed its about £9 per month - phone your council

We dont, we have our own well.... now electric is a differant story *L*

It depends what water authority you live in, each water authority charges a different amount. The fee is collected by your local council, look at their website and you will find out how much it is. It should be listed on your annual council tax bill also
